Mr. Trivedi through Sri Ram Charan Shah, the then Chairman of District Cooperative Bank Ltd, Lakhimpur Kheri counselled and prepared a list of 41 potential promoter, and their numerous meetings and by individually contacting them the process of formation of bank was told to the promoter members, According to RBI standards, more than 400 members were made making a total Rs 152000 deposit, then the bank's founding Board of Directors Late Mr. Radheshyam Tandon (chairman), Late Ramesh Shankar Dixit (VP), Santosh Kumar Gupta, Suresh Chandra Gupta collected all the required information for the formation of the bank through UP Co-Operative department and forwarded it to the Reserve Bank Of India.
*The Genesis* About 40 years ago, a group of dedicated Co-operators from Lakhimpur district envisioned establishing an urban cooperative bank to cater to the financial needs of the urban population. Their selfless service and unwavering determination paved the way for the bank's formation. The Co-operators , led by Late Shri Sobran Lal Trivedi , recognized the gap in financial services and took it upon themselves to bridge this gap. The Chief promoter and Founding Secretary Late Shri Sobran Lal Trivedi, guided by Late Sh. Ram Charan Shah, the then Chairman of DCB Ltd. Lakhimpur Kheri collected and prepared a list of 41 potential promoters and led numerous meetings to consider all stake holders’ perspective . The bank formation process began in the year 1984 with the support of promoter members, meeting RBI set standards, with over 400 members collecting an initial deposit a sum of Rs. 152,000.
